Sunday, August 1, we will be having a VEV Outdoor Summer Service on the east (shady/lawns) side of the church building. There will not be a Zoom service this week, we will resume our Zoom services on August 8. We will ring the bells at 10:30AM and have a 1-hour intergenerational service (no Zoom service). As part of our worship and teaching time, Joanna and Gordie will be leading the church in a prayerful walk-through of the building to prepare us for regathering in the fall, and we will celebrate communion together in a safe manner. Following the service, we will be having a picnic at the nearby Pandora Park. Bring your own picnic or you can order take-out at one of the nearby food outlets on Hastings, such as Sushi Nanaimo, Le Pho Vietnamese, Fresh Slice pizza, etc. Bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. and for those who can't, there will be extra chairs available.

Our church's current protocols: For outdoors, masks are optional but recommended for those not fully vaccinated. We encourage folks to be mindful and ask/check-in with each other regarding one another's comfort level (eg. asking about physical distance, asking if ok with hugs, etc). For inside the church building, masks are mandatory, so please bring a mask. If you are feeling symptoms or are uneasy with meeting in person at this time, we bless you to stay at home.
